AFRICAN ACROBATS ACADEMY

is the bread basket of Circus Mama Africa. 80 percent of the
artists, that will perform in Circus Mama Africa new show
have been trained in Tanzania at the acrobatics

academy, which was founded by Winston Ruddle

and Tsendbyamba Erdenshoo in November

2003. The acrobatics academy is situated in
the Kinondoni Studio Dar es salaam. Starting

from here, more than 100 hundred students
from here have gone on to have very successful

professional careers performing abroad. At

present 36 acrobats and contortionists, who have
trained at the academy, are working in the famous African

circus show AFRIKA AFRIKA, that is now touring the UK and the

second production touring Germany. More than 60 artists were

performing in MAMA AFRIKA during the last 2 European winter seasons.
The academy is now well equipped and

employs 3 professional acrobatic teachers from
the Mongolian State Circus Last December a
40 foot container with circus equipment arrived in
Dar es Salaam from China. Since the beginning of
2008 the academy has started training new acts
that are not commonly performed by Africans.

ROLLA AND MUCH MORE. Some of these acts
will be displayed in our coming productions
Students do not have to pay any fees for training
at the academy. The academy supplies all
performance equipment, training areas, free
accommodation, ground transport and pays for

meals and water. The main aim of the academy

is to train the artists in the chosen acts and
to make them professional in their act disciplines

as well as teach them discipline in general.

This is why we call all those having trained

at the academy and performing abroad the

""HAKUNA MATATA ACROBATS". In Swahili

this means the "NO PROBLEM ACROBATS".

The academy operates 5 days a week from

Monday to Friday and the artists practice 8 hours

a day, 5 days a week.
The quality of the acts, that the academy has
produced, is the highest and the best compared
to any other African acrobats troupe worldwide.
The reason for this is our training schedule: Most

of the academy artists train for no less than 2 years
before we market them.
